Working with Fitwise to deliver sustainable events
At Fitwise, we work with our association clients to create their events in a way that works for them. When it comes to hosting sustainable events, you might want to start to make more sustainable choices or you might want to take it the whole way and become Net Zero. The Fitwise team are here to help you on that journey to Net Zero.
Just some of the things you can do to make your event more sustainable:
- Consider venues that have sustainability initiatives in place
- Lunch menus at the event - Work with the venue to come up with a menu that is more carbon neutral i.e. avoiding red meat and incorporating plant based foods
- Delegate Bags – Consider virtual delegate bags as opposed to a physical delegate bag
- Promotional material – Ensure all collateral for the event is electronic
- Travel - Encourage car sharing / public transport / provide details of electric charging points
- Badge wallet – Consider sustainable options and recycling
- Encourage delegates to bring their own reusable water bottles and lanyards
- Consider what sustainable sponsorship opportunities can be offered to companies
