This month we interviewed Liam Holligan from our Events Team. Liam joined Fitwise in July 2017 and is currently the newest member of the events team.

1. What do you enjoy about working in the event and association management industry?

I enjoy planning an event from start to end seeing delegates enjoy themselves on site meaning that all the time and effort put into organising this event has been worthwhile not only to delegates but to the client, exhibitors, speakers and us at Fitwise too as each event is a team effort involving individuals from each department.

2. What do you like about working at Fitwise?

Everyone at Fitwise has been very friendly and helpful, being the latest member of the team this has allowed me to ease into the company very quickly and feel welcome. In my first four months I’ve already attended 6 events giving me a great insight into the company.

3. What’s the favourite part of your job?

I love that traveling is part of my job. It’s exciting to have the opportunity to see new places and meet people from all parts of the UK. My favourite part of my position is the fact that i’m doing what I love doing, organising events.

1. What’s your favourite thing to do on a Sunday afternoon?

My Sunday afternoons are usually spent in the cinema watching a new release, with a large bag of popcorn of course!

2. What would you do if you were invisible for a day? 

I would attend a sold out concert I might have failed to secure tickets for.

3. Who is your favourite artist or band?

I have many favourites however my absolute favourite band is Florence + the Machine. I could listen to their 3 albums on repeat constantly. I’ve been lucky enough to see them live 7 times since the release of their debut album in 2009 and I also have a tattoo inspired by their third album.
