Fitwise 2017 Charity of the Year: River Kids

For Fitwise Management Ltd, we believe Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) really matters. Being one of many small businesses, giving back to our local community is very important to us. We have been exceptionally busy not only for our own work commitments but also what we, as a company, have managed to achieve as part of our CSR programme.

This year, we have chosen River Kids Scottish Children’s Charity (Registered Scottish Charity, Scottish Charity No: SC037312) as Fitwise’s dedicated local charity of the year. This means that any proceeds from Fitwise fundraising activities throughout 2017 will go to River Kids at the end of the year.

River Kids sole purpose is to help local children maximise their potential by supplying toys to West Lothian’s most disadvantaged children and enable them to play. To find out more about River Kids, please CLICK HERE

We are delighted to announce that we have raised an amazing £547.81 for them this year!
We hope the children of West Lothian benefit from this and have a lovely Christmas! Here’s what we got up to this year:

1. Easter Eggs Donation: In April, Fitwise donated 30 Easter eggs to children in need on Easter.
2. Fitwise Pub Quiz: On Thursday 20^th April, we hosted a pub quiz at a local pub of ours and raised over £500 worth of donations through ticket sale and 2 separate raffles! The turnout was brilliant and everyone had a great night. Rather than a standard raffle draw, we opted for a snatch raffle where you can go up and take someone’s prize off them until all tickets were drawn, and a stand up bingo where the last person to be drawn was actually the winner. This definitely helped liven up the night and would totally recommend these raffle games for anyone putting together something similar!
3. Christmas Jumper Day: On Friday 8^th December, all Fitwise staff got in the festive spirit by putting on their best Christmas jumpers for our very own Christmas Jumper Day with all donations going to River Kids.
4. Selection box Donation: Fitwise donated 30 selection boxes to be dispersed to local children in need this Christmas.

It has been a fun and exciting year for us and we hope our donations will help make a difference to the children of West Lothian. We look forward to the planning of CSR activities for 2018.
