So why have we decided to create a Fitwise blog? Well, we thought it was a great way to let everyone know who we are, what exciting things are up to and for us to comment on important things that are happening within our industry. Everybody at Fitwise will be contributing so you will hear from all our different teams; sales, marketing, events and administration. As the blog is being looked after by our marketing team we will turn to them first.

The Fitwise marketing team comprises of Katie, Laura and Claire, although Katie is currently on maternity leave. So what does a day in the life of the marketing team entail? Some might say being able to multitask to the max – as the team looks after the marketing for Fitwise, all of our clients and all of our clients’ events.

So while writing this blog post for Fitwise and in doing so working on our own Search Engine Optimisation and social media, we are also getting marketing plans, eshot templates, flyers and websites ready for launching delegate marketing for our largest 2014 events, while concurrently running a membership recruitment campaign, coordinating editorial for February Newsletters, and working on promoting an annual awards programme.

So what is it that we love about working in marketing at Fitwise? As Marketing Executive Laura explains “whether we are developing social media strategies, overseeing re-branding, writing editorial, deploying surveys, coordinating Journal copy, or launching events, every day at Fitwise is different. The variety keeps us busy, interested and engaged in what we do. 

It is extremely satisfying to launch an event and for it to sell out or achieve record delegate numbers for our clients. After every event we survey the delegates and exhibitors and hearing their positive feedback makes it all our hard work worthwhile.”
