Following the decision to move our FIS/HIS international conference online in mid-2020, the Fitwise team worked tirelessly with the conference organising committee to adapt the 3 day face-to-face event into a fully virtual event in under 5 months. The Fitwise e-conference platform enabled us to deliver a mix of 90 pre-recorded and live presentations, 200+ virtual posters and a forum for delegates to engage with our sponsors. Registration numbers of over 1000 far exceeded our expectations and delegate feedback on the event has been extremely positive. Fitwise Management Limited have been our management company for over the past 18 years, and part of the service that they offer is as professional conference organising. Our annual conference was originally planned for Edinburgh this year, however, due to the COVID pandemic we had to look at alternative means to ensure that we could deliver education for our members of which there are over 800. We decided to use the Fitwise e-Conference platform, which was both affordable and highly professional, and to be honest we couldn’t be happier with our decision. We were fortunate to work with professional conference organisers who have had the platform in-house, so rather than have the additional outlay of software systems, we've managed to use the in-house technology that Fitwise had. Fitwise as a team are organised and understand what makes a successful conference virtually and as face-to-face. So with members of the team from events, marketing, sales, bookkeeping we’ve all worked together really to ensure that we were delivering engaging virtual experiences.
