Prior to joining Fitwise, Jackie worked for HBoS and Edinburgh Napier University where her roles involved organising national sales meetings, client roadshows and one day events. Jackie joined Fitwise in November 2015 undertaking administration, PA and bookkeeping duties. In June 2018, Jackie moved from her role as Administration Executive to join the Events team bringing with her a wealth of Fitwise knowledge and prior event planning experience.
What do you like about working at Fitwise?
Jackie loves the team spirit that we have at Fitwise both in the events team and throughout the business. She is enjoying the opportunity to work in events again as a role which she truly enjoys and is passionate about. Jackie loves to see all of the hard work and effort which is put into event come together.
Describe your best meal:
Jackie loves The Kitchin in Edinburgh – it has to be up there with one of her best meals, the whole dining experience was just amazing! She must now save up to go back..!

Before joining Fitwise Emma studied Festival & Event Management at Edinburgh Napier University and progressed to working in the charity sector where she organised training events and conferences. Emma joined the Fitwise team in August 2021 as an Event Coordinator and in October 2022 was promoted to an Event Manager.
Emma is known as the ‘EventsAir Guru’ in the Events Team and is always on the lookout for ways the team can improve on our, already, gold star services.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Emma is always shopping or seeing a musical! Recent shows include Hamilton, Sister Act and Six!
What are you currently watching on Netflix?
Emma is on season 1 of Dubai Bling and is always rewatching Friends!

Elaine joined the Fitwise team in May 2016, and plays a key role in the pre-planning, delivery and post-event actions for some of our largest conferences (with the odd one-day thrown in the mix!). Elaine is renowned for her keen eye for detail, excellent time management and positive ‘can do’ attitude, all of which are essential as an event manager. Elaine is also fondly known as ‘work mum’ to some of the girls in her team, who know they can always count on her for advice, support, or even just a good chitchat!
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Elaine loves to spend her weekends visiting friends and family, and spends much of her free time with her two toy poodles, Ozzi and Coco.
What’s your favourite part of your job?
Elaine loves nothing more than getting to the end of the day on Friday with everything scored off her weekly to do list – pure bliss!

Jade has always had a keen passion and interest for events since she left school. In 2022, Jade finally decided to pursue her career in the events industry and joined Fitwise as the Event Coordinator. After a year of building her events experience, she temporarily stepped up to the role of Event Manager to help through our busy conference season. Finally, in January 2025, Jade was officially promoted to be an Event Manager. Jades experience as both coordinator and manager means she has built extensive knowledge into all of our clients events, which proves a great asset to the team.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Jade loves anything fitness related, waking up early every morning before work to head to gym. She enjoys going on hikes and always makes sure to get her 10,000 steps in with her dog, Rufus. Jade also loves travel and makes sure to make use of her holidays to explore different parts of the world.

Denise moved over from Ireland in 2014 for her final year of university, met her husband and never left. She previously worked in hotels/venues as an event manager, and now uses her skills as an Event Manager here at Fitwise. Denise has experience managing large international events throughout the UK, and their social programmes.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Denise enjoys socialising with friends, visiting family in Ireland and travelling. She is always looking to visit a new place and try out the local cuisine as she is a complete foodie!

Janah a broad experience of event experience, ranging from live gigs and festivals to conferences and gala dinners. Janah graduated from Edinburgh Napier University with a BA (Hons) International Festival and Events Management. Before finding her passion for events, she studied music business and briefly worked for a record label, managing bands and artists.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Janah always says she would love a lazy day but she can’t seem to sit down long enough to have one! When she’s not working she likes to fill her time playing the drums in Coalburn IOR Pipeband, going on adventures with her partner and dog as well as tending to her indoor plants (a recent endeavor). Janah also loves visiting friends and family, reading a good book, and attending gigs and concerts.
