An overview:
The Pelvic Obstetric Gynaecological Physiotherapy (POGP) is a membership society for HCPC-registered physiotherapists, annually subscribing members of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists (CSP), and international physiotherapists whose governing body is a member of World Physiotherapy (WP).
Each year they host a conference and for the last few years have held virtual events. This year they launched their Study Day and Annual General Meeting as a live online event for their members to attend. This was made up of interactive industry sessions and a comprehensive online exhibition for delegates to attend during intervals.
What did we do for POGP and their association event?
Fitwise are the Professional Conference Organiser (PCO) for the POGP Study Day and Annual General Meeting 2022. Fitwise provided a full and comprehensive event management service for the virtual meeting; to include delegate and speaker management, online support, delegate marketing and exhibition and sponsorship sales.
The event attracted over 640 delegates from the POGP membership with 327 attending on the day, 550 logging on for the AGM and others having access to ‘Catch-up TV’ for 12 months.
What did the delegates experience on the day?
Delegates of the 2022 POGP Study Day & Annual General Meeting received access to the online event where they could navigate to the various parts of the day: Live sessions, programme, speakers, posters and exhibition. The sponsors of the event were able to display their ads on the home page and across the online event pages for delegates to see.
Despite being a virtual event, there were plenty of opportunities to engage and interact. A dedicated area to contact and network with other delegates attending the event was set up and delegates were encouraged to join the live discussions in the chat room of each live session.
What did Exhibitors and Sponsors gain from the day?
Delegates were encouraged to interact with the sponsors and exhibitors with dedicated time throughout the day set aside for visiting the virtual exhibition stands. Each Exhibitor had a presentation and delegates not in attendance on the day are able to watch these presentations on ‘Catch-up TV’ for the next 12 months. Virtual events are still a brilliant opportunity for companies to exhibit their products and speak to delegates.
The fantastic Talking Slides facilitated the virtual event helping it run seamlessly and proving that online is still a great place to be for many delegates.
