Welcome to your Fitwise Autumn 2024 News Update
This Fitwise Autumn 2024 Update covers our latest achievements, bringing you highlights from the association management and conference organising world!
Autumn is a busy time of year for Fitwise! Currently, we are in the midst of conference season, having just delivered BSPD 2024 and IP2024.
Furthermore, we were pleased to welcome our new full-service client, The Scottish Intensive Care Society (SICS) to the Fitwise office last month! We encourage our clients to provision some time occasionally to visit the Fitwise office to meet with the team.
Service Improvements
Our Secretariat Services Team
Firstly, we are delighted to welcome Laura Ferguson to Fitwise who joined us in July as our new Head of Secretariat Services!
In conjunction with her appointment, we also rebranded the team from “Client Support Services” to “Secretariat Services”. This more accurately aligns with industry terminology and further reflects our commitment to excellence in this area.
The Secretariat team deliver stellar association management and secretariat services, through general administration, membership management, and executive/personal assistant services.
Added Value
Attracting Delegate Footfall to Exhibition Stands
We understand the importance of long-term viability of conferences for exhibitors and sponsors to find an event a success.
Recently we wrote a blog which outlines what can be done to increase delegate footfall through the exhibition, from both an organiser and exhibitor point of view which can be read here.
How to Make Your Event More Sustainable
Events are a huge contributor to carbon emissions, and as such all of those who hold events should consider making them more sustainable. Fitwise can help achieve sustainability goals by advising and implementing the best strategies and procedures.

Charity Update
The Fitwise charity for 2024/25 is River Kids.
River Kids is a small local charity based in West Lothian who help and support local children in times of crisis with toys, clothes and basic essentials.
The Fitwise CSR team have led our charity efforts this year which have included a fundraising hill walk up Tinto, bake sale, collections of children’s clothes and toys, and attending the charity ball. Furthermore, in November a team will volunteer at the River Kids warehouse to help pack Christmas boxes for local children.
