My internship was last summer from July-September. Then I came back to work in the Events department for a month in November. I came back again in February to the Sales department. This time they’re finally getting rid of me!
My role consists of supporting the sales department with their work. I process booking forms, chase exhibitors, and other admin tasks. Since I returned in February, I have been assisting with getting the databases GDPR ready and mostly helping Dario with IPS.
I think seeing how a business operates has been eye-opening. It’s interesting to see the link between the theory I learned at university and practice of the theory.
I think my communication skills across different platforms has improved significantly. I’m much more confident speaking to people and my emails sound far more professional now!
I’ve really enjoyed learning about the field. The health industry was not something I had any experience or worked much on previously so it’s been really fascinating. Also, the staff here are lovely they made me feel so welcome.
Honestly, I’m taking a life break! Hopefully I’ll be doing some travelling and seeing the rest of the world. After that we’ll see what happens.
Thanks for your time Bahiya, we’re sad to see you go!
